Executive Assistant - PT
I recently joined the Senior Leadership team as an Executive Assistant. I provide administrative support which includes managing their calendars, preparing correspondence/reports and handling phone communications. And…don’t forget…”other duties as assigned.”
I joined the not-for-profit community after a 30-year career with IBM and spent the next 17 years with AARP and United Way International as a fundraiser securing major gifts and bequests.
As a “retiree” I co-founded a volunteer-driven community movement providing services to seniors who want to age in their homes rather than assisted-living residences. It’s part of a nationwide initiative known as “The Village”. There are over 350 neighborhoods across the U.S. I also continue to consult with United Ways nationwide on strategic planning and fundraising for major gifts, as well as mentor a new “village” in my own neighborhood in Fairfax.
I enjoys crafts, especially weaving. In my free time I take short trips to visit my five grandchildren and long-time friends. I was raised on the water and still find time to escape to my Adirondack home for snow skiing, water skiing and sailing.
