CHRIST CHURCH HELPING OUR NEIGHBORS
Those less fortunate still require our help with basic sustenance. Through these challenging times, we continue to provide support to the food pantry at Rising Hope Mission Church, as well as provide 150 lunch bags each week.
Community Serve Donations are needed now more than ever. Christ Church provides 150 lunch bags each week and Pantry items to Rising Hope (RH) UMC. RH needs Pantry items: canned protein (chicken, tuna, salmon), peanut butter, pasta, cereal, canned fruit and vegetables (including sugar-free and low-sodium), etc. Baby items are also needed. Lunch bags are made up of individually wrapped, non-perishable food items, water, protein (chicken/tuna/salmon in flip-top cans), peanut butter packets, fruit cups, peanut butter crackers, granola bars, and cookies.
We also need unopened, travel size toiletries like toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, lotion, razors, shampoo/conditioner and deodorant.
Food donations drop off or needs contact: Bev Adams
You can drop off your donations at any time in the bin outside of our front doors at the church.
CHRIST CHURCH AND HOPE EDUCATIONAL CENTRE
Pastor John recently learned that our teachers at Hope Educational Centre have not been paid since school shut down due to COVID-19 in April, and will not be paid until January, when school plans to reopen. Funds were sent from Christ Church to help them through this difficult time. Click here to go to our World Serve page, where you will find a link to read all of the letters of appreciation the teachers have sent to us.
