THE WORLD IN MANY WAYS STOPPED IN 2020, BUT Hunger HAS NOT COME TO A SCREECHING HALT. THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE FACING HUNGER COULD DOUBLE IN 2020 DUE TO THE COVID-19 CRISIS.

Christ Church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Saint Bernadette Catholic Church and School, Rise Against Hunger and volunteers from the community are joining together SAFELY to pack and distribute food and life-changing aid to the world’s most vulnerable by mobilizing the necessary resources to end hunger by 2030.
OUR GOAL: PACK 75,000 MEALS
Rise Against Hunger has continued to work through a network of in-country partners to maintain access to food for the hungry in the world. Become a Hunger Champion, and make a hands-on impact at this fun event as we pack 75,000 meals!
Volunteers will be asked to follow strict COVID-19 safety protocols, including:
- a temperature check
- answering a health assessment questionnaire
- wearing a mask
- the standard Rise Against Hunger safety protocols, including hand sanitation, wearing a hairnet and gloves
Only one shift per day will be held with a maximum of 125 volunteers, the number that can safely occupy the room with more than required physical distancing.
Volunteers must stay at one workstation and wear protective gear at all times. Families are encouraged but only if children can keep masks on at all times and stay with an adult at all times. Children will not be able to move around the room. Childcare will NOT be provided.
Not comfortable joining in a larger group? Volunteer to be a part of a group of no more than eight people during the two weeks prior to the meal packing events to label bags.
