Get Real: Caregiving and Self-Care

Get Real: Caregiving and Self-Care
Sunday, August 01, 2021, 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM

Caregivers need to to be intentional about caring for themselves to be available to those who need them. During our lives, most of us will be a caregiver or support someone else in that role.  Caregivers may be parents, children, spouses, partners, volunteers, or professionals supporting individuals with illness, injury or disability.
During this Get Real conversation, we will hear from Christ Church members who have served or are serving as caregivers. Joy Koeppen, a licensed clinical social worker, will then review strategies for intentional self-care to help caregivers avoid and reduce stress that can lead to burnout, including making a contingency plan.

This event will be open for in-person attendance, or you may watch and participate online. Childcare will be provided; advance registration for childcare is required. Click here to register no later than Thursday, July 29th.

MASKS ARE REQUIRED UNLESS YOU ARE SEATED.  Please be sure to bring a mask with you.
