Church, and being in ministry with others, is not about four walls in a building. Many are asking, "How can I continue to Live Out the Gospel Life?"
There are those in our community who are unable, or fearful, of leaving their homes during these unsettled times. We have developed a letter you can use to reach out to your neighbors who may need assistance. Please feel free to use this letter and just fill in the blanks with your personal information, or adapt it to meet your style. You can copy and paste the letter, below, or we have provided a copy in Word that you can edit. Please click here to download.
We would like to introduce ourselves. We are the _______________ family. We live at (address).
In times like this we neighbors need to pull together, so we are here to help. It is likely that you or someone you know may be uncomfortable leaving your home to get groceries, medicines or other necessities. We want you to know that we would like to help. If you give us your shopping list, we will do our best to get the items you need. Rest assured, this is simply a neighborly gesture, and nothing more. Once the items are delivered to you, simply reimburse us the exact cost of the items. There are no shopping or delivery charges. Again, we just want to help our neighbors.
If you are unable to afford your groceries, let me know. Our church, Christ Church on Rt. 123 in Fairfax Station, may be able to help you. Please let me know. The church also broadcasts worship services every Sunday at 9:30 and 11:00am, at www.christchurchva.org.
Let us know if we can help you. You can call, text or email us.
