The Purpose of the Campaign

The Promised Land Campaign will raise $3.0 million with a stretch goal of $3.3 million for the purpose of significantly reducing our outstanding Promised Land debt, initiate our Master Design Plan, and fund associated costs to position us to build and move to our Promised Land.

Before we ever built on our current location, the leadership of Christ Church knew that it would only be our temporary home. We believed that if we were faithful in our call to follow Christ and make Christian disciples that our Glen Eagles location would eventually be much too small to fulfill our mission. We were right! God has blessed us and has opened the door for us to follow Him to a new location.

Currently, we have exhausted every available space for ministry and mission on our campus. There is no more room. There is no room to:

  • Expand our Children’s Ministry.
  • Grow our Youth Ministry.
  • Grow our adult small group discipleship classes.
  • Develop a much needed area for Christian Counseling.
  • Grow our Worship Service at 10:00am.
  • Develop classes and seminars to support and encourage parents and families.
  • Add classes to our weekday Christian Preschool.
  • Add additional staff offices.
  • Park more cars in our parking lot at 10:00am.

The bottom line is that there is simply no more “room in the inn.”

Our new location at 7600 Ox Road, just a few miles north of our current campus, will provide enough land for us to grow on for many years to come. God is positioning us to be planted in a highly visible and convenient location on Route 123. Thousands of people will pass in front of our campus each day, which will give us the opportunity to dramatically increase our witness for Christ.

In 1994 and again in 1998 the people of Christ Church faithfully followed God’s call and stepped forward to build our current building. Since that time six trailers have been added increasing our education, meeting and office space. Thank God that those who came before us didn’t squelch God’s Spirit and simply hang a “No Vacancy” sign on the church door. Now it’s our turn to do the right thing and follow God where He is leading. May all who come behind us find us faithful!
