Dear Christ Church Family,
This is an exciting time to be a part of the Christ Church family. After
years of praying that God would open the door and provide a piece of
property near our current location and large enough for our growing family,
God has answered our prayers! Just a couple of miles away at 7600 Ox
Road (Route 123), God is providing us with a beautiful, twenty-five acre
parcel. It is our field of dreams - our Promised Land.
Teams have been formed to dream God’s dream and seek His direction
in developing and financing the land. Strategy, Site Development, Architecture,
Construction, Communications and Capital Funds Teams have been formed
and tasked with a specific mission to move us toward our Promised Land.
In the Old Testament, God lead the Israelites out of Egypt into a new
land. Today, through God’s grace, God is leading the people of
Christ Church to new land. Therefore, we have chosen the Promised
Land Campaign as the name of our capital funds project to finance the purchase
of the property.
The goal of the Promised Land Campaign is to raise $3 million over the
next three years above our regular tithes and offerings. I am asking
you and every household at Christ Church to make a sacrificial commitment.
God told the Israelites to “Be strong and courageous. Do not be
terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with
you wherever you go” (Joshua 1:9). Those words are God’s
words for us today.
Remember, “Be strong and courageous. Do not
be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be
with you wherever you go.”
