Set Up Racks
Assemble racks prior to set-up. This involves using screwdrivers, manually handling and lifting racks, etc. Husbands are a BIG help for this job and if they work, you get to shop during the pre-sale! Men preferred.

Cashier (PLEASE NOTE: This position is only for members and regular attendees of Christ Church.)
Scan items, take customers’ money and/or swipe credit cards at check-out stations. TRAINING SESSIONS ON THE SCANNING SYSTEM WILL BE PROVIDED AND CASHIERS ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND ONE.

Big Toy Monitor
Help carry and organize large toys. Located outside the entire shift regardless of weather. Light physical labor required.

Sales Floor
Continually monitor, organize and clean-up the entire sales floor area. Help customers with questions. On Saturday morning, this also involves placing items on hold for customers - the first few hours of the sale are VERY busy and customers place many items on hold. Does require lifting/carrying toys, equipment, etc. to holding room.

Take Down Sorter
After sale, sort donations and items to be returned to consignors.

Flyer Distribution - Fairfax County
Distribute flyers to assigned preschools and day care centers in the Fairfax County area. A specific list will be emailed to you giving you explicit directions on pickup and delivery of the flyers. Flyers will be available for pickup at the church 10-15 days prior to the sale. You will need to distribute the flyers 8-12 days before the sale between 9 AM - noon, Monday through Friday. This position requires the use of your own vehicle to drive to 8-12 locations in the assigned area. Position takes approximately 2-3 hours. We make every effort to assign a list near your home, but this is not always possible.

Take Down Assistant
Assist take-down coordinator with various tasks of take-down.

Floater
Assist in different positions as needed.

Head Cashier (PLEASE NOTE: This position is only for members and regular attendees of Christ Church.)
Act as the main point of contact in the check-out rooms - help cashiers if they have questions about the system, keep the flow of the check-out running smoothly and assist as needed. TRAINING SESSIONS ON THE SCANNING SYSTEM WILL BE PROVIDED AND ALL HEAD CASHIERS ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND ONE.

Disassemble Cashiering
Assist with taking down tables and moving furniture back into preschool rooms after the sale is over. Requires lifting, moving & pushing furniture.
